Cody's Art!

I am so very proud of Cody. He is such a talented artist. He is very humble, but I can't help but brag because I am in such awe of the artistic abilities he has. I have seen his talent blossom so much just since we have been married. He was gracious enough to create the masterpiece below of our handsome angel Joshua. This is the amazing part, all he used was a mechanical pencil, a dried out wet wipe, and q-tip. He amazes me! I am trying to convince him to draw on the side so if anyone has a need for a special gift let him know. He may be willing to draw it for you. I will post some of his other drawings later so everyone can see the other great work he's done. :)

Old Pictures, New Fun

I was online blogging last night and I found an awesome effect to do on photos. I tried it on Josh's picture first and loved it. During lunch Cody and I were upstairs because I was working on some school assignments and I took a break to try the new effect out on one of our wedding pictures. Our reception was held at the Olney House Bed and Breakfast in Safford. It's an old plantation style home that I grew up in awe of. I always wanted to go inside and I got better than that. I got to celebrate my marriage there. Anyway, we did an old fashion theme for our decorations and my dress was all lace. Our wonderful photographer Ladd Bryce thought this would be a cool shot. I loved it. It was a lot of fun. I just thought I would share the new fun Cody and I had with some old pictures.

Our New Nephew!

Our family welcomed a new nephew late last night. We were so excited to meet Blake (we haven't actually had the opportunity to meet him quite yet). He was 8lbs 15oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Congrats goes to Cody's older sister Mindy and her husband Dan. He's very handsome guys. :) That makes 15 grankids for Grandma Smith who is enjoying holding him in the picture below. WELCOME BABY BLAKE!!

6 months and growing!!

Our little Joshua turned 6 months today! We can't believe how quickly the time has passed. He has been such a wonderful blessing to our family. In honor of his half-a-year mark, we stopped to snap a few pictures today. Here are a couple of my favorites. Josh's office visits are a little off so we'll have updates of his height, weight, etc. when he is 7 months. We will be sure to post his progress when we find out.

This is a generic version of his popeye the sailor man face that he does. It's hilarious!
